Why isn't my Oura data syncing to Exist?

Check your membership

If you have an Oura Ring Gen3, you also need an Oura membership to sync your Oura data to Exist. Without a membership, your Oura data won't be available via the Oura API, so we can't sync it to Exist for you.

If you have an Oura Ring Gen2, you don't need an Oura membership to sync your Oura data to Exist.

More details can be found in the Oura FAQs.

Check your data has synced to Oura's servers

Even if the Oura app on your phone shows new data, that data may not have synced to Oura's servers yet. Exist syncs your data from Oura's servers, so if this step hasn't happened, we can't get your data.

To check if your data has synced to Oura's servers, log in to Oura on the web and check that your data shows up there. If it doesn't, Exist can't access it.

If you're having trouble with your Oura data not syncing, you can tap the option "Back up all data" on the settings screen of the Oura app to trigger a sync. If this doesn't work, you can also try quitting and restarting the Oura app or restarting your phone.

On Android, you can also try turning off battery optimisation for the Oura app if you have this problem often.
